Hi I recently received items regarding my father. He was KIA 7/6/44 and a member of 29th Div, 116th Reg, Co C. He was from Iowa so I am guessing he was a replacement . His last Vmail was 7/5/44 that he was going to be very busy. I have all of his archieval info, gravesite(France), etc but would like to read an after action report or hear from someone that may have known him
Thanks

Mike -- I assume your father's name was Robert L. Quinn? Did he go by a nickname? That might help jog some memories. For an after-action report, go to www.29infantrydivision.org, where Laurent Lefebvre is doing a great job single handedly posting all sorts of 29er documents online. Your father is on the roster lists, and there are already reports concerning C/116 in the WWII Documents section. The after action report will be posted soon. Good luck on your search -- Gordon

Thanks so much. Yup He was Robert LeRoy Quinn. To the best of my knowledge he went by Bob. I was only 1+ when he was killed but have found 30 Vmails and many photos. Its just time to connect.
