Looking for Photos & info on the 224th F.A. stationed in Perranporth & the S.V. Battery which was stationed in the Zelah area in Cornwall 1944. 29th Lets Go ! Bob.

the only info I have on the 224th FA is below
the battalions listed below were stationed at Perranporth between 30th September 1943, and as from 30th April 1944
224th FA battalion (105mm) headquarters
224th FA battalion (105mm) hq battery
224th FA battalion (105mm) battery A
224th FA battalion (105mm) battery B
224th FA battalion (105mm) battery C
224th FA battalion (105mm) service battery
224th FA battalion (105mm) medical det

Lets blow off the cobwebs on this forum site by starting with an update on a few bits of info on the 29th at Perranporth.
I understand the HQ was at the Pondsmere Hotel overlooking the beach. Officers quarters were at Cliffside. Jeeps were washed off down in the stream on the beach.
