Any one into 29th D-Day Embarkation research might like to check this out. Unclassified Landing table, Force B Embarkation & Debarkation Priority List. #237 on page 12. Combined Arms Research Library Digital Library. Also another gem on that site is Admin order #7 Operation Overlord - Southwestern Zone. #55 on page 3. Worked like a charm -- thanks Bob!! That's a gold mine, although some of the information has caused me to revise a bit of my Dad's narrative. But that's really good hunting on your part -- Gordon

cgsc.contentdm.oclc.org/cdm4/document.php?CISOROOT=/p4013coll8&CISOPTR=866&REC=9This is the link to Landing Table, Landing Force B, I listed the wrong catalogue list number before, sorry about that. What a deam find I have been on the lookout for this type of info for over the last 15 years & after looking at the charts I too need to revise the way I thought the loading of the 29th went. Regards Bob.

Hi Bob I found these documents also a few weeks ago, which are excellent The only query I have, and would like to know is example at the top of one document it states LST#469 NAVY CRAFT SERIAL #355. (C.O Troops Capt John K Slingluff) Therefore what would be the number on the side of the LST in this instance. Is it 355 or 469. thanks

TJ -- I think it's 355. LST 469 served in the Pacific, whereas 355 definitely landed troops on 7 June (pictures here: www.navsource.org/archives/10/16/160355.htm). Some HQ2/175 trucks were loaded on her, so perhaps my father was aboard.

thanks Gordon The landing table is slightly confusing with putting LST (a number) and then a naval craft seriel. Because some of the sheets only have a LST number. I am hoping we have found the tables for the LST's which embarked from Tolverne, Turnaware and Falmouth. My next task is to find out which hards were used for each sausage camp (A,B,C,D,E,F,G & H) thanks again

thanks Bob on the info regarding the sausage camps, and which hards were used. Have you had chance to look through the landing table Force B and see if all the LST's which you have listed in a previous post are there. There seems to be some missing, and things not quite matching up. The landing table document is amendment No.2, therefore I assume that there must a version 1 of this document. Also I assume that there is other administrative documents for the South Western Zone. I have checked on the CARL site but no luck thanks Tony

Hi Tony, With the info from Admin Order #7 Handbook I made a list of Embarkation Hard Codes to help trace location of Vehicle Photos which uses Embarkation Cards placed on front of each Normandy bound Vehicle. These square Cards are painted white with a black round center with info stenciled on. Falmouth East. Tolverne. PF1. Plymouth West. PP3. Falmouth East. Turnaware. PF2. Plymouth West. PS. Falmouth West. Town. PF3. Falmouth West. Town. PF4. Falmouth West. Trebah. PH. Plymouth Turnchapel. PK. Plymouth East. PP2. Plymouth West. PP1
